Sofa Bed Slipcover

The easiest way to update an old sleeper sofa is with a sofa bed slipcover treatment. If your sofa is looking dingy and out of date, consider using slipcovers before splurging on a brand new piece of furniture. Often this is all it takes to turn a dated and worn convertible sofa into one that looks good as new. There are many places to buy these covers both in stores and online, with one top Internet seller being Stretch and Cover, a company who makes expandable slipcovers and sells those especially made for sofa beds.

You'll find covers in a variety of colors and sizes. To fit your slipcover onto a sofa bed, you will need some basic instructions and a little patience. The first thing you'll need to do is find the main label on the cover and position it at the center back area of the couch. Next, stretch the cover so that it completely covers the back of the sofa. There should be vertical seams that show you where to place the corners of the cover. From there, stretch the expandable cover over the armrests of the sofa. Tuck everything in and you're set to go.

When you're ready to change the bed back into a couch, simply position the fabric where it was and tuck everything in tightly. Neutral colors are always recommended because they coordinate with everything and can be easily dressed up with throw pillows and accessories. When you are ready to change your decor colors your neutral slipcover will not need changing. Slipcover fabric is available in many choices, with one of the most popular being microfiber.
